I know this is not "Amiga" Hardware but I NEED HELP!!
I cant find help elsewhere its a 68000 based computer, an LC II.
Im fixing it for a friend and It was used as a AOL instant messenger machine. Now its having a problem. First.. it reboots during a few mins of usage, then reboots constantly with the boot up sound going nuts.. help? Im sure someone knows about this!

Your 'friend's' machine has been posessed by the devil (aka AOL).
You need a priest and an exorcism. :-D

Are any of the chips getting too hot that you can tell? Or the PSU for that matter... I'd measure all the voltages, if one's running a little high I'd expect to have excess heat from some parts which could cause the symptoms you described. I'm not familiar with the machine though so that's about as specific as I can get...

Well, there's lots of things like logic board damage, demonic possessions, and bad PSU's....
But, first, I'd recommend checking the very most simple of things. The settings battery.

I was able to revive a LC/LCII hybrid and it works for long periods of time with a custom PSU so apparently its fixed.
