I haven't listed anything on EBay for a year or more.
I was going to list a couple items. While setting up
the forms I got to the part for pictures. The form said
my browser isn't compatably (Opera).
I'm confused, how do I upload pictures ??

Just a guess, but you could use a compatible browser.

I'm a big time Opera user. Never had a problem using eBay, selling or buying since I started using it years ago. Though you have to have an off-site location to upload pictures to for your auctions.
I've got cable broadband, so I just setup Apache to serve my pictures from my home computer.
I just checked it out, yup there is the message you mentioned. Never noticed it before, then again I host my own pictures. I clicked on the Learn More link. It says one of the requirements is IE, so it's probably checking to see if you use IE. If you don't, it gives you that message and says the you have to use off-site hosting for your pictures.

I use firefooks and it works nicely when it comes to uploading pics to EBay.nl.

Melott & Argo : I´m a big Opera user too and I have the same prohlem, even when I let Opera act as IE 6.0 :pissed:
Lucky for me I have my own webspace that I use only to store my pictures that I need for Ebay and other things. When Ebay says your browser does not allow uploading pictures then I use the url of my own pictures and that works always

Well, half of the time when websites reckon Opera is incompatible, it's because they don't know what they're talking about. Go into the preferences and then network settings and tell Opera to identify itself as MSIE 6.0. I'll almost guarantee that it will work after that. I know that GMail won't display everything when my Opera (8 beta) doesn't identify itself as IE, but when it does, it suddenly works properly, just like it would have anyway.
EDIT - Just saw Effy's post. Well, I guess Ebay has a more indepth check than GMail. :-? I guess you'll either have to use IE itself, or upload somewhere else.
