Title: Use of two video outputs on A1200

Hello,

Is it possible to use two video outputs of an A1200 simultaneously, or would that harm the hardware? Let's say, the composite out to feed one monitor and the 23-pin to feed another, or the RF-out along with one of those.

Composite and RGB simultaneously works just fine. Don't know for certain about adding RF in there, but it should be okay. Just remember not to swap plugs with the power on.

I have used RGB-SCART and RF simultaneously it worked fine.
21" CRT TV and 3" Casio lcd-tv :-)

Yep, I can concur that using both is fine.

Better still, if you have a graphics card and you configure your RTG not to close down / promote PAL/NTSC stuff, you can have a pal monitor and your gfx card all going at once. I did this to run some old speccy emulators that wouldn't promote to the RTG screen.

It's actually fun seeing two screens doing stuff simultaneously :-D

Thanks. I am going to install an A1200 in a hotel, as an information channel, with Holliwood from Airsoftwair. One output will go into the amplifier of the hotel's TV network, so it will be able to be received at all rooms by the existing RF lead. Another will feed a monitor used for programmig.

I have an extra question about the A1200 before I go ahead with this. Please, look in the Hardware Forum for my question about Compact Flash.
