After the Commodore bankruptcy, I threw my hands up and bought a Macintosh. But I've always kept an interest in the Amiga scene, peeking in on websites and forums once in a while, curious about her fate.
Today:
- I see the fortitude with which the remaining commmunity holds on.
- I see an inventive effort by individuals to keep 3rd party hardware development alive.
- I see the beautiful OS4, rewritten, incorporating standards like OpenGL and AHA.
- I see some bickering and infighting, but creation is messy.
I think you should all take a step back from your 1084s (or whatever monitor is The One these days) and be proud of yourselves. The spirit lives on, due to the community, and no one else.
I envy you all. Keep it alive!
