A long time ago I already concluded there are quite a few people from Groningen here, how about we all get together for a pint sometime and talk Amiga? :-)
-
good idea, I suggest at my home, I got a couple of nice Amiga's, like a neat CDTV (:-P), so we can play against each other some amiga games :-)
(still need to solder a four player adapter :-/)
-
Absolutely. It's a fantastic idea.
I was thinking about maybe meeting up for a beer, and then going to someone's house to play Amiga games!
-
Cool stuff :-).
Well? Where are the rest of you lurkers? :-).
-
Tjitte was the only other Groninger here on Aorg, iirc
(well, Groninger....)
anyhoo,
g'night all!
-
*Sigh*. Of course the rest of us Dutch folk are left out in the cold.
-
You should all come to Manchester and do the curry mile.
-
Groningen: a 2 hour drive
Manchester: A night on a boat and an even longer drive!
Bummer :(

Blame yourself for living in the middle of nowhere :-P
-
Ofcourse there's no reason for you Westerners to come over here too :-). I'm just not sure I'd understand you guys :-P.
-
Those westerners got a serious impediment in their speech...
man, they almost swallow their tong when they're trying to pronounce the 'R' :-o

Have you ever been to NL?

Actually a good mate of mine now lives in Maastricht with his good lady. I need to see about paying them a visit at some point.

Whether you're in The Hague or Amsterdam, it'll be very hard to find just one clear-thinking person over there, and if you find one it's usually an emigrated Groninger :-P

Tis *quite* a bit chavvy nowadays to be a 'gabbertje' in nl (or well, since 1995 or so, that is..)
I've been a gabbertje (well, a bit unconventional one) too, back when it was a rather uncommon music :-)
-

I said they live there. I didn't say they were frome there :-)
-
@Speelgoedmannetje:
I was never "dressing" like a gabber-head past the age of...17 I think. Afterwards, I was more normal looking, but of course still to this day I listen to gabber and hardcore techno. I like it due to its simplicity, yet power and energy. It's definitely not mainstream music by ANY means, except maybe in Holland, as you guys over there are hardcore pioneers. :-)
-
I guess I was kinda the same as you, x56h34 :-)
But nowadays, Hardcore has been copied over and over and over again with mindnumbing cliche's. I quitted it at the age of 16 or 17 when I had to reckognise that the music was hijacked by neo-nazi's and chavs of the worst kind, and there won't be any good (inspirating, experimental) hardcore anymore. I've heard it all, twas good music to survive puberty, but that's it. Got other music nowadays.

Excuses excuses, eh?
No one's gonna live there voluntarily and has no tendencies towards limbo-ism!
;-)

@Speelgoedmannetje:
I agree. The "new stuff" simply doesn't have the same impact on me as it did during the "early days", however there's still lots of old-school gold that I can listen to over and over, with the addition of an occassional good new track.
-
Whoops I misread this thread.. thought it said:
Groaners up for a pint?
:roflmao:
-
@Graffias
:admonish: :furious: :whack:
;-) :pint:
-
Ah well, perhaps we are nothing more than a bunch of old groaners up here :-P.
-
@glock/speel:
What about sunday evening in O'Caelleigh's? Usually there's some cool jamming going on there round dinnertime on sunday.
-
Is allright, Odin, I'll be there
unfortunately, I can't make it too late (well, it has some space), since I have to finish things for school tuesdays
-
Cool stuff, I'd be all for not keeping it to a civilised closingtime, that way I might actually get some studying done mondaymorning :-).
How does 1900 sound for meeting up?
-
tomorrow 1900 is okay

Well, now we have (ehm, I mean, a civilized meeting)
Well, just Odin and me that is..
-
@Speelgoedmannetje
I still am, but lost my PW some time ago and did not bother to renew it, as I am mostly to be found on AW.net, due to me having a µA1 since December 2004, which now runs OS4.1.
Anyway, I would not mind actng according to this thread's title.

Wow! Some necromancing here :-)
Odin's gone to the west, I fear :-(
And I'm too busy finishing my study.
I'm all getting sentimental here :cry:
-
Indeed =). FWIW for the time being I'm still in Groningen in the weekends.
