I'm still waiting for KArlos to get off his ars3 and send me his hard drive... it is that hope alone that stps me selling my BlizzPPC :-D
-
why only 1 oscillator?
the usenet message was not too much help...

My guess is that the 66MHz was pushing this early board too much to the limits or something and P5 must've figured it was much safer/better to run it at 50MHz. It appears that removing the 66MHz was the 'update' which I mentioned in that usenet post.
And yes, I've given up on waiting for OS4. For now I'll only fiddle with my OS3.0 A4k :-).

Hi Odin
have you noticed, some other patch or so, other than the crystall replacement?
It sounds interesting
-
No not really, I don't have a clue what P5 changed on the board apart from the crystal and the multiplier.
-
probably a new firmware in those MACH programmable chip . . . don't know.
