According to this post (http://www.ann.lu/comments2.cgi?view=1046518374&category=forum&start=1&38) on ann, someone has received their AmigaONE XE-G4 800!! :-o :-o Is it true? Are they shipping? Does anyone else have theirs?
I hope so, I want mine NOOOOW!!

Don't know, but am I the only one you sees a odd similarity with
those "Hyperion bought AI-IP"-hoaxes ?
The lack of details, the wording the "mailto:" in the email-field.
Just my two cents.

Well, it IS possible. It should be shipping these days, according to Alan's last update.

I'm this >< close on just giving up the whole situation and just leave the Amiga scene forever.
No real info, no nothing. If the situation isn't exremely clear by the end of march I'll just drop the ball. That's what this information blackout from Hyperion and EyeTech is going to get them, I hope that makes them feel happy about making that choice.
No I'm neither angry nor frustrated, I'm just closing in on passing the line of simply not caring about it any more.

Well, I seem to remember a week or so ago someone saying that Amiga would soon clarify things about Cebit and all, but so far we've heard nothing. I'm guessing that's the way it will stay. This waiting does wear on you after awhile.

Well, if it's any consolation, one of the developers who lives near me has had his A1/XE now for about a week. That's the only one that I know of personally, although there are others overseas (according to the mls). I'm expecting a call or email from my dealer Real Soon Now.

True, that is a typical grown up comment by a drunken person.

Tell me the alternative. Whatever we actually *say* in public is misinterpreted and turned against us. The only thing that the public wants to see is a release date, and that is something that we do not give anymore.
You can always write me a private mail and try to extract more info :-D

Not every solution has to involve public statements on ANN. Those people who are genuinly interrested, not people who wants to flaut everything on public forums, but people who are really interrested for themselves what is going on could be informed in a dosen other ways.
And no, what interrested people want to see is not just the release date. They want to know what is actually going on and what remains to be done.
"You can always write me a private mail and try to extract more info "
Perhaps, but I'd rather sign an NDA and be put on a single way announcement mailing list for information spread only (Only moderator postings).
