(27-Feb-2003) All Amiga servers will be down on Saturday, March 1 for approximately 8-12 hours while our host moves equipment to a new data center.

They are getting ready for all the news with the new OS.....!!!!!!!!!
Hey I told you I was an optimist...
Not it is not the wine talking.... I drank dark beer tonight.

As we are currently using the same host, Amiga.org will also be affected.

In light of this news, we would like to have every one leave the site in an orderly manner, without panic and proceed immediately to their designated Amiga.org downtime shelter.
If you do not have a designated shelter, proceed to the nearest pub that you feel comfortable in, and be prepared to stay a while the outage may last up to twelve (12) hours. This means you should bring a book, some magazines, or some friends to assist in passing time.
I suggest checking in twelve hours after you first notice the outtage begin. Any earlier can cause unwarranted strain on your body, so please, remain in the pub where it is safe.
We'll all get through this. I for one will proceed to the Patty Bolands pub in the Market area of Ottawa to weather the downtime.
If for some reason you are unable to walk away from your Internet connection there is a large collection of jokes here (http://www.jumpgate.technomages.net/humour.html) to assist in passing the time, but I strongly recommend moving to a designated Amiga.org downtime shelter because the Internet just isn't the same without Amiga.org.
Good luck every one, and remember your training.
AmiNTT.

HUH it's not fair
Amiga Inc are getting Os4 and keeping it all to themselfs!! They are in a conspiracy with Amiga.org
to share it with no-one!!! This is why they will both be off-line at the same time I know it's true Bill Gates said so in an artical that also stated there was no bugs in windows!!

You for got to mention to drink lots of fluids.
I'll be spending my time trying to beat on my friends or at least keep them from beating on me...

Well all the Amiga inc sites are all down, but there aren't any problems here (yet) :-)

The server that this site is running on isn't due to be moved until tomorrow. Apparently, the datacenter decided to move our other servers tonight and this one tomorrow.
Don't hold me to that though. It's very possible that this server might be moved at any time this weekend (we were assured that it would happen during the weekend) and could be down for up to 8 hours. It should return immediately after it has been transferred to the new warehouse and booted up.

How DARE you put words in my mouth Ray!!!!

@AmiNTT
I think I'll be spending my time playing FIFA 2002 on the PS2 instead of the pub (I'm skint). That'll keep me engrossed for a while, going through the UEFA/World Cup as Germany - fuuunnnn!!!! :-D
