Hey,
Im trying to write a cd using NEC ND3500A DVD writer and "Ahead Nero" software. On the Nero software it seems as it burns and I get a message that the cd was burnt successfully, though the burner doesn't work and eventually the cd is not burnt, indeed.
What do you think the problem is?
Jeff.

I have an older model of that drive and I had problems that got solved by doing two things:
1) Flashing better firmware
2) Using different media if (1) doesn't help. Use Datawrite and TDK disks.
By the way I had to get a non-NEC firmware patch to get my drive to write dual-layer DVDs. Otherwise it would not recognise an 8.5 gb disc. (I initially thought it was a Nero problem, but it is not). Look for the thread Double Layer DVD, and see the link I posted for Brian. There are firmware updates for your drive that should solve the problem.

Ooh...that was a quick one. I'll try this and let u know.
Thank you,
Jeff.

The version I have exactly is Nero Express 5.5.9.9 bundled.
I could not find an update for this version. Could u, please, send me an exact link?

The latest Nero is 6.6.0.6, http://www.nero.com

With all nero products to update it you download the new trial edition and install it over your old version and it updates it to a full version..

But the problem is unlikey to be Nero. It is more likely to be the firmware on the drive or the media used.
Edit: try this firmware (http://www.cdfreaks.com/drive/firmware/1139).

WOW I did not know Nero was released for AmigaOS !! ;-)
