Title: GVP A500HD+ question
Post by: davide405 on February 19, 2005, 04:22:15 AM
I have one of the sidecar expansions that GVP made for the A500, specifically, the HD+

It's populated with 8 meg RAM and boasts a 120 meg Maxtor hardrive

My question(s) relate(s) to the "mini-expansion" slot that is tucked away inside the case.

Did anyone ever make a NIC card for that slot?
How does that slot compare to a Zorro slot?
Is there a way to adapt the slot to be able to mount cards intended for other Amiga platforms, or was this proprietary to GVP?

If any of these questions highlight too strongly my glaring ignorance, please be gentle in pointing this out :-P

As far as I can remember the internal connector was for 286 PC emulation card. I dont believe anything else was manufactured to take advantage of this slot.
