Hi All,
I was browsing around Ebay and came across a cool looking transparent acrylic case. I've been thinking about buying a new tower for A1200 for a while and suddenly thought that it would look fantastic is one of these (modified backplate of course).

I've got PPC w. '040 currently and, with me not being much of a physicist, i'm not sure if it would actually be safe in this case? Would the CPU get too hot for the plastic on the side?
What do you think? Any comments/ideas welcome...
Cheers,
Lee

well i like it been case modder for years.Love to see the final thing.But if you plan on using mediator/G-rex you have to do something klever a bit tricky if you see the layout on amiga towers compared to atx standard in the back of cource..
why not buy some plexi do it all yourself this way you will be more proud (my opinnion of course)..still not bad prizing for acryl tower. :-D

It's not an Amiga (my Amiga 1200 (http://homepage.mac.com/blakespot/PhotoAlbum15.html) is in a different sort of tower), but I recently mounted my C-One in the best looking (most clear, unobstructed) acrylic case I could find. Have a look. (http://homepage.mac.com/blakespot/PhotoAlbum24.html)
More on the C-One can be seen here (http://www.bytecellar.com/archives/000036.php).

@adonay
I think I'm going to give it a go. I may just buy this kit and buy a seperate peice to create the back panel. I'll post here when it's done (probably a little while yet ;) ).
@blakespot
I must say that the C-One tower is superb. I'm hope by A1200 will look as good.

@punkpie
And as an added bonus , the case will attract all the dust in your home...so no need to hoover ever again.... :-)
