Title: Is there a solution for the piccolo rtg cards when using picasso96 and whdload ???
Post by: keropi on February 15, 2005, 11:20:52 AM
Well,

when using a piccolo card (my case a piccolo sd64) and for rtg system picasso96 , there are some whdload games (like Lost Vikings cd32) that do not work.
The display switches to native amiga video, but nothing starts or sounds, just sits there on a blank screen, until you press the quit key.
How many of you have this prob also?
and have you got any workaround?
I have switched to cgx4 that works OK, but I don't like it that much... perhaps I cannot setup it correctly, I just don't like it...
any fixes/suggestions to go back to p96? :-D

I had that problem a couple of years ago with Prometheus/Voodoo3 and PicassoIV + P96. Just black screen on PIV with WHDLoad games, which was cured when I removed Prometheus/Voodoo driver from Monitors. Everything else calling PIV and PAL modes did work. But then the problem disappeared miraculously - I couldn't imagine which change did it...
