Hey there.
how much would an A1000 with a dead keyboard and not much else be worth do you think?
I'm considering bidding on one (mostly because I like the idea of the KS on floppy and I want something apart from an A500) and I don't want to rip myself off.
Any feedback would be appreciated :-)

Seriously, without an operating keyboard I wouldn't bother buying an A1000 ( no keyboard, no reset etc )
The ability to use kickstart disks is nice, but the A1000 WRAM is only 256k bytes in size, which limits you to ONLY kickstarts that fit, ie. KS1.1 KS1.2 KS1.3 Not KS2.04 or KS3.1 etc
There are hacks to increase the WRAM, but why bother when a500's and a2000's can accept the standard ROMS?
ok, back to your question... in Oz you should not pay any more than $100 - $150 range for a fully working A1000

Used, fair-to-poor condition A1000's are a dime a dozen in the Canada/US and Aus/NZ reigons.
Azryl is right in saying to hold out for a little better one. I see as many as 6-10 in any given month on US and Aus eBay.

Thanks for that. Saved me some money there :-)
