Title: Charles to wed Camilla

Yes, come April the 6th, Prince Charles will be wed to Camilla Parker Bowles.

Announcement by Clarence house to follow later on today.


In my own view, I hope the two of them are happy together, but part of me still remembers keenly what the Windsers put Diana through and I almost resent the idea of them marrying given that this was the woman that Charles had an affair with throughout his marrage to Diana...

Too many mixed emotions here, I just hope that the two princes are ok with it all.

What an interesting start to the day.

How bizarre, just as I read your post, the chap in the office turned around and said "Prince Charles to marry Camilla"!

My own personal thoughts are that it's about time.  People slate Camilla for not being Diana, but my own perception is that they're marrying for love and not necessity, and fair play to the pair of them for that.

Charles and Diana's marriage was a case study in what happens when two mutually incompatible people are stuck together, misery ensues for both parties....  Believe me, I've been there and realise just how damaging a bad relationship can be.

First there will be no royal wedding ceremony.

Then they are forced to move the wedding ceremony to The Council Chamber in Windsor's Guildhall (local Town Hall).

Prince Charles have no best man for the wedding.

Now The Queen had refused to attend the wedding!

Perhaps it's better for the couple to elop and go to Scotland. :-D

first let me say that I don't give a rats behind what anyone does. it's thier life, just leave me out of it.

as I saw this on BBC news, i gleaned that the queen just didn't want to draw a bigger crowd to this event. and while this could possibly be "spin", see point one why I don't care.  :lol:

The English prince is so boring! The Arab princes have the right idea. If I was a prince, I'd never get married, just have lots of parties and invite all the hottest chicks. I shoulda been a royal!
