Title: eUAE for WarpOS/PPC Amigas
Post by: Cass on February 06, 2005, 02:32:18 PM
Is there any PPC version of e-UAE (http://www.rcdrummond.net/uae/), like the fabulous WarpUAE (although lacking a decent GUI)?

hmm does it make sense? I'm curious, how is the speed of uae on warpos on a 233mhz csppc? Can it even emulate a plain A1200 at full speed? Wouldn't it make more sense to use degrader tools or whdload on classic hardware?

Sure it makes sense:

-You can run native amiga modes on RTG (in cases you don't have a scandoubler/monitor switcher)
-You can mount CAPS images (in case you don't have a PC with WinUAE)
-You can run a game without waving to reset or close apps that cause interrupt problems.
-You may just try it ( for fun:-D )

Speedwise now:
I mentioned the WOS version of plain UAE because it runs nicely for simple games/demos on a PPC604e@150 here.
Unfortunately, it lacks a decent GUI, and the tweaking you can easyly do with WinUAE, (you still have to edit by hand the text file -not very intuitive- ).
