Title: OS4 and SCSI
Post by: sgm on February 25, 2003, 12:51:53 PM
Hi all.

Just registered to Amiga.org, I was wondering which kind of SCSI support there will be in OS4. You, know, I have this Adaptec 19160 card sitting idle here, and I'd like to give it some use (my PC seem to dislike it slightly..., so an AmigaOne may be better suited)  :-D

We don't know yet, sgm. Although SCSI support is almost guaranteed, only a very few people can say whether your adaptor will work. And it's possible that it hasn't been tried yet.

Only time will tell. The few who know won't.

last I knew os 4.0 only supported scripts based scsi cards... so currently I think you out of luck until some other drivers become available and then it might not even be bootable who knows.

tonyw,

thanks for the (expected) answer. Rogue, EntilZha, anyone??  :-D
I could even be a nice guy and lend you the card to let you play with it...
