Don't know much more about it then that... I really haven't felt like 'hacking' Amiga Forever just to play with a Workbench replacement.
-
I use ScalOS on one of my A1200's. Add's some nice feature missing from Workbench and is fully multithreaded, which makes using the desktop better (less freezing when doing single tasks)
-
Is there a big change? any bugs so far with your 1200..
naa think i like my 3.9 as it is got perfect after i got my MUI going. :)

I always wanted to try ScalOS. In fact I did at an Amiga show in 2002, I was very impressed.
But unfortanately I have never had an Amiga capable of running it. I am upgrading my A1200 this year though, (its unexpanded) so I might give it a try once everything is sorted on the hardware front.

Scalos will run on an unexpanded A1200. As mentioned, it adds some nice features. It's nice to see that development is continuing.

Not from floppy disks though! :-D

Their site mentions a possible port to MorphOS if H&P don't come through well on Amiga Rom libs....with MorphOS up in the air and the required re-write in C to get it working there anyway, I wonder if they would consider porting it to AROS as well as MorphOS and AOS4? I know it would be a lot to support, but the screen shots they put up look pretty sweet. Makes me want to set up my A1200 with the busted case and give it a try.
