Title: Need to know voltage and polarity of ZIP external power supply
Post by: PhilMoore on January 21, 2005, 03:22:37 PM
I have been googling and had no luck.

I need to know what voltage and polarity power supply I need for my external SCSI zip drive.  If anyone can take a look at theirs and let me know, it would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Phil

Hi,

Have just taken a look at mine (had to follow a dusty lead through a nice tangle at the back of my computer desk!) and the power supply itself says:

Model: APS57ER-210
Output: 5V 1A

This is the UK version.

I've checked the output with a multimeter and it's a positive tip.

Regards,

I've just checked mine and it is exactly the same as Ali's.

Thanks!

I found a wall wart that will work.  5vdc center positive.  I have a drawer full of them, but NONE say ZIP on it... Go figure.

Thanks again,
Phil
