It's very nice to hear that the T-shirts are shipping, and I see that my club info is correct so I hope to see one soon, but:
What about the OS4 CD. I heard a few weeks back that they were shipping for all those folks that are running pre on their various AOnes, but has anyone got theirs yet?
I just WANT WANT WANT WANT WANT to compile stuff OS4 native... and I want to do it NOW!!
(OK, I don't want to do it so much that I download GCC 2.9.whatever and patch it and rebuild it etc, but quite a lot nonetheless).
Well?

I believe you're talking about this:
Replacement CD (http://www.soft3.net/pages/software_aos4_e.php)

I think he`s waiting for the SDK?

@fluffy:
Sdk came a long time ago.
the cd that was announced was just an up to date cd of os4 to thoose who couldnt download from the website (ie on 56k modem etc) and ofcourse to them who'd love to get a new cd instead of their old scratched pre release cd... :-)
so..are you on classic machine and want to compile os4 native?? is that it??? ...
some info would be nice.

So OS4 is still pre?
I thought it was released.
No, I wanted to build on my uA1 but I don't have the CD. Pre was installed, and there is supposed to be a CD on the way from Hyperion, but I haven't seen it yet. So it's not gonna be the final OS4 release when it gets to me?
Well, if I don't have a CD I can't register to get updates. If I can't do that how do I get the SDK?

Your dealer should have provided you with an official Amiga OS 4.0 CD with serial number and all.
If that's not the case, you should contact them asap.
No offical CD and registration means that you will not receive the final boxed copy of OS 4 down the line.

Thanks Ben,
I'll try to find out what's gone wrong. My amiga and my CD were traveling seperately it seems, and I wasn't sure if "you should receive your OS4 CD in a couple of weeks" meant "when it's done" or "it's in the mail", and whether it was in the mail from dealer stock or direct ship from Hyperion.
Anyway, my dealer has been pretty prompt generally getting back to me but I was starting to wonder if I should have seen something by now. I'm not panicing yet though but I am eager. :-D
