Title: Big IDE HD (200 Gb) in Amiga
Post by: GoTech on January 15, 2005, 12:19:59 AM
Hello!

I have purchased a 200 GB IDE HD to use it as a removable HD in my notebook (connected in an IDE case by USB port). I wanted to use it as a removable HD in my Amiga 4K-T too, mounting it as a FAT32 HD, but the machire refuses to recongnice it.

The Amiga specs: A4K-T, AOS3.9, FAST-ATA controler, 40 GB IDE HD, MK-II 060, PicassoIV..... etc.

The HD specs: Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 200 Gb.

Anyone knows if there is a limit (because soft or hard) in size for usable HDs? How is the bigger HD I can use?

Thank you in advance  :)

DonĀ“t know why but the number of 160 Gb seems to pass through my mind, but have no clue why ...  :-?
