I am looking to purchase an Amiga 1200. What is the price these machines usually go for?

Sorry, sale is no longer an option. Having had a good night's rest, it performs again as it used to do!
Not yet, anyway. In a few months time. when the A1 is fully set up, I might consider sale of the A1200, either as a complete and functioning system or in parts.

I have a 1200 with a yellowed case and a missing floppy drive.
It's not for sale, but I will give it (along with a new case and floppy drive) to the first person who can get me a ZorroII expansion chasis for my A1000.
And I'll throw in some AGA games, An Amiga 2000/030, and anything else you want!

I Checked the site.....after I used a translation engine from Polish. VERY impresive. The A1200 is $60...But if doubt if they ship to the US. I was impressed to find out that they sell the "good" scandoublers for $50.
Any Ideas?

A NTSC A1200 will cost you around $100 to $200 depending on condition. If you don't mind a PAL A1200 check out eBay for cheaper deals across the pond. But you will only be able to use a RGB monitor with a PAL unit here in the states, unless you have a kick arse TV that does PAL as well.

What's worse is that they seem to be getting MORE expensive; Last year I saw 1200s going for $60-70, and now eBay auctions for un-riced 1200s end somewhere above the century mark.
Of course, importing one from Europe where the streets seem to be paved with them is immediately ruled out by the prohibitive and immense cost of shipping anything of that size and weight overseas.
Like getting a 4000 or 3000, your only hope is to make a deal with a local yokel too lazy to deal with eBay, or find someone who has no idea what it's worth and wants to get rid of it fast (which no longer happens).

After dealing on e-bay for more than 8 years I have to say that the price of items varies with the season. Usually in the winter people are willing to bid more for "home appliances" such as computers, tvs and DVD since they spend most of their time locked up in their houses during the cold months. When the summer comes the prices for computer parts drops dramatically!!!! Especially for vintage computers.
And yes....You are correct. The prices for used amigas has gone UP Allot. For example I had my eye one 2-3 GVP A530 and they where sold close to $200. About a year ago a A530 with 8MB full, 45Mhz 68030 and 300MB Disk was sold for...100$ ...with shipping.

One of those would be me. I started bidding yesterday on a cool A1200 with an internal CD drive (non-tower). My trusty A500's disk drive now sounds like a chainsaw whilst in use and I thought it was time to move on. I intend to network it to a PC someone's giving me and thought that being 2005 it was finally time to go AGA. I'd maintain that E-Bay is the best place for specially modified systems, although I haven't looked that hard.
