Alright, I admit I'm a fan, and that he's entertained me, but everything said about the man is the sorry truth.

I hope this gets thrown out of court.

Come to think of it, couldn't killing a man, then being convicted of killing a man, then sueing someone for saying you killed a man, be considered "profiting from your crime?"

It's not slander if it's been proved in a court of law.  However, the language used should be picked carefully, as miscarriages of justice aren't unknown.

I'd be careful to point out that someone's "Been convicted of murder" rather than labelling them a "murderer".  After all, I wasn't there to witness the killing.

Whereas I being the undiplomatic northerner I am, would just call that someone a murderer.  They could sue me if they wanted, but as we say up here, "You can't get blood from a stone!" ;-)

First of all they didnt call him a murderer, they said he had killed two people.  Thats not even up to debate, he didnt argue that on either case, the one he was convicted of murder and the one he got off on self defense, in both cases the issue was never whether Don killed them, but whether he had reason to do it.  Now in one case they decided it was self-defense (how he got that when shooting him in the back, I would guess is between him and John Gotti), but that doesnt mean he didnt kill the guy, it just means he doesnt have to go to jail for doing it.  This is a silly suit, he should be happy he's featured in sportscentury not suing them for the feature.
