Title: DCE CDROM adapter on A4000
Post by: Framiga on January 11, 2005, 11:54:41 AM
Hi all,

is there someone who have managed to use this

DCE CDROM adapter (http://www.amiga-hardware.com/showhardware.cgi?HARDID=537)

on an A4000? (with an 44>40 pins adapter)

OR if someone knows where to buy those SCSI2IDE converters (Acard?) for the CSPPC SCSI controller in Europe?*

If someone has it for sale, contact me privately (i have some interesting original boxed games to trade)

B17 Flying Fortress-A320 Airbus and others.

* ACARD AEC-7720UW

You are probably missing the power connector ?

IMHO you should rather take a 4way-adapter which is meant for an A4000. For example this one: http://www.kdh-amiga-shop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21_26_76&products_id=274

Hi Thomas

thanks for the link :-)

About the 4Way adapter, i've already one selfmade but the DCE one is smaller.

For the power lines "seems" not a great problem . . there are pads on the PCB, for that pourpose.

I would like only know, if its compatible from the IDE-data lines PoV.

Thanks again :-)

EDIT- pity :-( the link is about the 50 pins model AEC-7720U

I need the AEC-7720UW 68 pins UWSCSI

Ordering directly from ACard is the cheapest I can find.  The AEC-7720UW is only $69USD!!!

BTW, I use one with my CSMK3 and an IBM 40GB IDE HD and it works great.
