Title: Amiga.Org IRC Channel

I remember when I first joined Amiga Org and a while after I remember browsing through the site and I found out that Amiga org have there very own IRC channel.
All you have to do is download an IRC program for the platform you use, load it up, open up Webchat/Webnet Random Server, type in #amiga.org and away you go.
You are up and away chatting to other Amigans!

People like me find this a great way to communicate with other Amiga users as there are no local user groups nearby. The channel is a great place to discuss Amigas, get help or just chill out.
I feel that the amount of registered users on Amiga Org does not get reflected in the success of the IRC channel which is a shame.  :(

Tell me about it :cry:. I wish I could  join you properly. The web client thing is good for a start, but its got nothing on AmIRC. I just wish I could get on with it again. Stupid ISP!

#Amiga.org is pretty dead most of the time, but I guess that's because most of us already have our own IRC channels.

And that's because we're all different, and the "factions" just don't get on. Real Amiga owners hate channels where no-one actually has an Amiga, emulated Amiga people don't feel welcome in real Amiga channels, MorphOS people don't like mixing with OS4 supporters, OS4 supporters avoid MOS supporters, etc, etc, etc. Sad but true.

Yes there are divisions, but they could mix if some people had open minds.

hehe my channel is about 50% Amiga users and 50% PC freaks, I'm a bit of both lol
