Title: Snapped PIV scandoubler
Post by: MrZammler on January 10, 2005, 02:29:50 PM
Hi,

a quick question here.

Will a Picasso IV with it's scandoubler snapped (was in an A2000) work ok in an A3000D? (provided of course the cables are there)?

Thanks!

It should. I snapped mine back in my A2000 days, but it's working very well for the past 7 or 8 years in my A4000T using the same cables from the A2000 thing.

@MrZimmler

Yes it will work OK.

The PIV manual describes how to snap off the scandoubler section for fitting into an A2000 and says it's not necessary with the A3000. However, the ribbon cables supplied with the PIV simply reconnect the SD section back to the main board. They replace the printed circuit links that are broken apart.

Cheers,

JaX.
