Title: Scala MM400 EX modules

I recently got my hands on a Neptun genlock (from Electronic Design). The genlock works fine, but I can't get the Neptun EX module supplied with Scala MM400 to work.

The EX module is supposed to control the genlock via the serial port, but from what I can see (using SnoopDOS to monitor the system) Scala never opens serial.device to communicate with the genlock. Does anybody have any experience with this? Do I have to do anything more than moving the Neptun EX module to the Scala startup directory?
