Not necessarily crap... But I highly doubt someone will buy the entire lot... :-)

Possibly. That one box on the end looks water damaged. Not to mention non-tempature controled storage of electronics for who knows how many years.

It wont sell.  Sadly I think it's worth about $500.  He needs to list the inventory.

From the sounds of it, it is mostly software.

Hey, if they're old C= modems (as they most likely are) then that's 700 Q-Link packages...!  :-)

I am LOL from the post - "looks like a pile of crap" !
Being a pack rat a heart I understand (kind of ) why somebody would hold onto all the old software.  It is not like it PS 2 software or anything like Grand Theft Auto.
But the old fun games like Carmen Sandiego or Kings Quest
were always fun but not worth anywhere near $6K.
Imagine the cost of renting that storage room for 10 years and hence the asking price.

WOW!   No WONDER why Commodore went out of Business! it's because these guys were keeping all this stuff from selling! So those software comapanies thought no one was buying!

Wow!

It must have gotten the seller all twitchy, too. His spelling and punctuation aren't the greatest. Especially for such an expensive item. Let's all not bid on it and wait for it not to sell, then wait for him to post it again for a lower price. you could probably start "a small store" with all the goodies, but at that price I don't think you'd make any profit. Unless you, redrumloa, know something I don't. :-)

Shadow of the Beast shirts!  :-o  The boxes look big enough.

Maybe there's Club Amiga t-shirts in them.   har-har-har

It's in colorado, so it's probably always pretty cold. Although, it does snow there so it may be too cold part of the year. I had my stuff in storage in Iowa for a few years and all I can see that wnet bad was the VIC chip in my C=64. My Amiga's were alright and so were all my disks... even the C=64 ones. Bubble Bobble anyone? :-)

What I'd like to know is why this guy has all this stuff and why it was in storage. Did he have a shop at one time but went out of business? He didn't do a very good storage job, what with all those games just being stacked up and not in boxes. Maybe he was the original 2 Fast 2 Furious guy and he knocked over a moving Commodore products big-rig and had to hide the loot in a hurry before the heat arrived.

I said twitchy, not stupid

It's too high, without more specific information.

"Mint condition". Hmm, maybe it means a free mint with your purchase?

The large containers look about the right size and style for A500 masterpacks, but it could be a masterpack of joysticks.  any ideas redrumloa?  I am sure you have run across C= masterpacks before.

Making assumptions, I'd guess those C= boxes were simply used to pack up games. The description says 5000 games, and it doesn't look like 5000 loose in the pics. If there were new computers I'd strongly suspect he'd mention them, instead he mentions the games as the strong point.

Those C= boxes (presuming the content is original) hold "24 pcs" of something. What would that be? A1010 drives? :)
Surely not A500's  :-o

As already stated, the C= boxes are Commodore brand modems. Since Commodore made 300 and 1200 baud modems, we can all jump for joy over the thought of buying them!! :)

The guy claims that he feels it was worth this much because there are 5000-6000 boxes of software and not everything is shown.  He said if you sold each for $1 on eBay then you'd get 5000-6000.  He's forgetting though that if you buy in huge quantity you are expecting to make a profit.  Not to mention you'd get your money back very slowly.  He's relisting for a lower price he said.

I'll give him 20 bucks for the lot (including p+p). The bozes probably contain a load of broken lawn mower engines from when Rodney got carried away (when broken lawn mower engines WERE ALL THE RAGE!) :-)

Regards,
