Hi all.
I just lost out on a auction for a CD32 (unit only) so this question is pretty much academic. I'd still like to know though.
Can anyone here tell me if it's possible to use a C64 power supply on a CD32.
Somehow I seem to remember this was possible. I've never owned a CD32 though, so I've never had the opportunity to test this theory.
Thanks!

No, it isn't possible, because the C64 power unit is to weak. I had tried that a few months ago.
You could try to find a connector of an CD32 PSU and convert an AT PSU to work with your CD32.

Whaat?
The C-64's PSU is definitely not suitable!
The CD32 expects +5 and +12VDC, the C-64's brick gives +5VDC and 9VAC.
IIRC the 1541-II/1581 PSU is compatible, but be sure to measure the voltages with a multimeter first so that you're sure they're on the correct pins.. Don't just go plugging it in.
