Thanks, Just to let you know, I didnt do any 3d-stuff after
that, didnt have any books (didnt want to buy any  ), so I didnt pursue, anyway I've just began playing with intuition alittle, the only thing that seems alittle absurd to me is the event-handling, at least the way thje book "Amiga Machine Language" (from Abacus I think) teaches, weeeird !

With respect intended, duplicate accounts are not allowed. Why did you create a new account when you already had an account that you knew of?
Wayne

:-? , well, remove my old account please, why dont you have a "close account" or something ?
-
We don't have a "close account" because it leaves orphaned posts, which is exactly why duplicate accounts are not allowed.
-
Could you please clarify "orphaned posts" as I dont know what "orphaned" really means ?
-
ie : you post in a thread, then remove all the posts. They then become Orphaned, on their own, without parent etc.

Why do you insist on using so many academic (so it seems)words ? anyway I'm quite happy with this account I have now, but offcourse if the admin can somehow change my username in my old account I'll more then happily give this one up, which on the other hand offcourse would cause the similar "problem" ?

Hello All - I am brand new to this forum, but have had an Amiga 2000 forever. Can someone tell me how to use my 1084 monitor as a TV monitor? I want to hook it up to a vcr so I can watch video tapes. So, how do I do this?
Thanks!
Trisha :-?

the C=1084 came in different version's but I would guess yours has composite in on the back so all you need to do is get some composite cables and connected your VCR to the 1084. Then theres a little round button (well 2) on the back press it (i forget which one exactly so just play) until the monitor switches to the composite in and you'll then get your VCR on your 1084...
I do know one button switched the input and the other switches between colour and greyscale, so if everything goes black and white you know youve pressed the wrong button :-)

I'm sorry if the terms we use seem somewhat collegiate. When an account is deleted, any posts by that user are left on the system as being from an "anonymous" user, hence "orphaned".
You cannot simply delete these posts because in most cases, it would make the entire thread seem non-sensical, with some people replying to posts that no longer exists and whole sections of conversations missing.
If we allowed people to delete their own accounts, we would have a whole new type of troll who popped up simply to irritate people then disappear.
It would have been easier for us to have renamed the existing account, but we don't offer that specifically because of the confusion it causes confusion with the other site members. Could you imagine 5000 site members who continually barraged us with requests to alter their account name? Could you imagine trying to keep up with who you're talking to?
We've taken lots of measures recently to try and control bogus accounts from being created, but try as we might, it's not a perfect process. The fact that you circumvented the rules in creating a duplicate account -- while presumably innocent in intentions -- is inappropriate.
