Hello,
I want to link my A1200+Blzd 1230 with my PC by using my MediatorPCI and an ethernet card.
I use Genesis and a 3com card (3c905 TPO).
I configure Genesis with the MediatorNET.device and then click online. Then, Genesis says 'unable to open the MediatorNET.device'.
And when the ethernet card is out of the slots of the MediatorPCI, I get the same message ! :-?
The support of Elbox told me that the 3com card was not supported. But is this fact the real reason of my problem ? (because when the card is over, I still get this silly message)
So, where did I fail ? Do I need the specific driver of the 3com card ? Do I need the $ MultiMedia CD $ of Elbox ?

The 3Com card isn't supported. You can only use cards based on the Realtek chips 8029 and 8139 (you need the MMCD in order to use a 8139 based card in your Mediator).

Ok for the compatibility. So when I should use a "good" ethernet card (which doesn't require MMCD), is it sure that I won't get the message "unable to open MediatorNET.device"
In other words, my MediatorPCI is not bugged ? :nervous:

I've seen too under the link

that it would be better to put the ethernet-card on the first slot of the mediator. If you have any other tips like this, you're welcome :-D
