Perhaps I'm the only person who finds this cool :-? but I would love to see a working CPU built using it!

That's sheer brilliance! Babbage eat your heart out :-D.
Er..I hope the special prize isn't what I think it is :-?.

That depends... how much do you NEED your socks? ;-)

Good lord, that's genius!

Hum,
i`m sure that they will be able to miniturise the lego blocks in the future.
Perhaps someday we`ll be able to fit one in a handbag...

Or what if they do not minaturize it. An actual computer would be the size of a mansion!
"Yeah, I live in a Pentium MMX. I had it built in a Pentium 5 city. Dual prupose and cheaper than wood."
:-D

Isn't she great?!?!

Somehow I got the impression she doesn't, but perhaps would like to.
@Blob
I have a spare z80 kicking around. That would fit in a purse!

I've a dead 68040 and an Athlon 1200 somewhere... We could start the world's first CPU museum situated in a lady's hand baggage for easy portability. Right next to the lipstick, unopened pack of tissues, purse and MacGuyver Multi-tool.

How novel :-D

Would it fit in with the eight inch newtonian reflector she carries around in her handbag? :-)

Hmm.

BJ,
You forgot the Gieger counter, there's Radon in them granite hills of Aberdeen. Maybe she's also got a radio telescope receiver in there too?

You do her an injustice!!! I'm sure it's a 12inch!
-
I don't know how big Blobrana's handbag is, but she's just dropped her purse...

Yep, you never know when you're going to need one...

Another classic thread :-D

hm, I once have programmed using mechanics/pneumatics
it's actually quite common :-) (and a fun thing to do)
(darn, now I want to make a + function with an 8 bit "accumulator")

If someone can manage to build a 4004 clone with this stuff, then based on Moore's law we'll have Lego Pentium 4's in no time at all! :-)
Imagine the Lego Amithlon!

Hardcore!

Aye, we went from Lego logic gates to the contents of Blobrana's handbag in about four posts.
Maybe we ought to have a competition to guess the contents of her hand luggage? I somehow suspect that Blob doesn't leave home without a torque wrench in case of emergencies.
Maybe we could even start a poll on it?

@ PMC
Blobzie has nothing in her handbag.
The reason for this is that her purse is positively charged and her mobile phone is negatively charged. The two cancel each other out, and so there is nothing there. However, if at any time she receives an SMS, the negative charge on the mobile phone will become stronger, thus rendering all the items in her bag visible. Of course Blobzie will deny this because it is a secret. And that is why she'll give nobody here her mobile number for fear of us finding out the truth :-P

And how would you stop the Lego from melting under the heat?? :-D
-
Hum,
An eco-friendly ways would either water-cooled by a windmill, or perhaps it could be placed on Antarctica, or high mountain...

My God! Don't tell me she's got a matter / anti-matter generator in there as well! We're all doomed...

That's the finest excuse for not giving out a mobile number I've ever heard...
Maybe there's something Dr Who-ish going on with it, like it's a normally proportioned handbag on the outside, but inside it holds a staggering array of unidentifiable paraphanelia that in terms of volume far exceeds the carrying ability of the bag.
Just like any other handbag then...

Would anyone like an orange?

Hum,
I’m not familiar with "Prince of the Blood"...
