Hey all,
Didn't see it mentioned here, so I thought I'd post it.
ITV news in the UK were doing a bit on 'Internet safety' for kids and asking questions about how safe your child will be online, etc. The usual stuff they churn out every couple of months.
The funny thing was that they used an A500+ and a kid playing with the different drawers in Workbench 2.0.
Not sure how much danger he was going to be in while opening the Workbench Clock, but good to see an Amiga for a change (even if what they showed had little to no chance of actually being online) :-D

Yeah, that's standard library footage.
Perhaps we should get them some updated film showing off OS4? :-)

Yes its a well known fact that if you work with a Amiga 500+ and you open the clock the hands of the clock can fall from the TV or monitor and cut a childs fingers, they are very sharp you know. :-D :-D :-D

But yes it is odd they should use an Amiga 500+...perhaps they dont have any PC`s or dont know how to use one!

I think it´s because it´s easier to get an Amiga to sync with the tv-signals. I.e PAL is 50Hz :-)

Nah, It's just stock footage.
News producers have a floppy/CD with an app called "TweakSTR" that allows them to adjust the refresh rate of a modern PC in tiny increments, to eliminate that annoying rolling flicker that you sometimes see when a "raw" PC is filmed.
