I'm not so sure:

I don't know about extremely rare, I had this game at one time back in the day. Sucked IIRC, threw it away.

I think i may have seen the exact same auction up only a few weeks ago, and at the same price. Crazy.

I agree with you all, what an absolute mad {bleep}!! I'd love to smoke a little of what he's smoking whilst listing on eBay!
Also note nobody has mentioned the one that prompted that crazy guy to create a listing (which of course his didnt sell) then it was free buy it now day so he thought what the hell ;)
COMMODORE AMIGA THE KRISTAL (sold approx £360) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3545&item=8136273880&rd=1)

Is this one of those eBay jokes? If so - I don't get it...
I have this game - both the UK version and the one sold in the US under the "Cinemaware" label. It's not a bad game, but it's not great either...
I'll trade 'em both for a boxed copy of Mindwalker!!!
-*edit*-
So the guy that bough this game for all that money has a 99.99% eBay rating, and looks to be a "serious" game buyer.
The only thing I can see that might be unique here is that the game is actually called "The Krystol" rather than "The Kristal", which is the title I've got on both my UK copy (otherwise exactly the same packaging) and my US copy (in the vastly different Cinemaware budget line packaging.)
Is this really all about the packaging? I never get anywhere when I email these guys driectly for an explanation. Collectors play it too close to the vest.
