Hi,
In another thread I've been asked to use SnoopDOS, but since it only makes my system crash, I've got a burning question:
WHY MAKES SNOOPDOS MY COMPUTER CRASH ALL THE TIME?
A1200 OS3.9 SnoopDOS V3.8
Regards,
Jettah
N.b.: Before you blurt it out I'll do it myself: Use SnoopDOS to find out... :-P
-
Perhaps you can use cyberguard or enforcer to find that out? ;-).
-
try to delete the Env-Archive:SnoopDos.prefs and reboot.
I know that could be boring but, to see why SnoopDos doesnt works, you should run . . . SnoopDos before :-(
or this sort of:
ftp://de.aminet.net/pub/aminet/util/moni/DOSTrace213.lha
Bye

Try reinstalling it from a good, known archive.

@All
I've got version 3.0, 3.4, 3.7 and 3.8 installed. They all startup perfectly, but as soon as it is *Snooping* an application, it produces a few lines (some 20 maybe) of output and then goes AWOL. Therefore output is directed to RAM: in ordere to keep the disk(s) validated (imagine a crash during a disk write... JAKKES!).
Any more ideas?
Regards,
Jettah

Even when booting without ss?

Something must be wrong in your system. SnoopDos 3.8 is so slim and old that it can't crash really :-P
Try removing some patches, i.e. VisualPrefs, MCP, MagicMenu, Executive etc.
