Hi,
Reading some posting on another thread, it reminded me of a problem I have with X-Arc. It is the default tool for default icons for .lha files. Clicking on such an item tries to set up X-Arc, but suddenly crashes (8000 0006 IIRC). Leaving the crash notification for what it is, I simply click that same icon again and X-Arc is running as expected.
I think that some part of X-Arc needs a library which is not (yet) available. Probably a MUI-Class or something. Starting X-Arc a second time has indeed that particular library available and therefore functions then perfectly well.
Has anyone such an, or an equivalent, experience and knows how the problem can be solved, please respond.
BEFORE YOU MAKE REMARKS ABOUT USING SNOOPDOS: NO, NO, NO!!!
That program makes my Amiga crash nearly the moment I bring the mouse pointer in contact with the icon, so: NO, NO, NO!!!:-o
