Title: and, 1000
Post by: the_leander on December 09, 2004, 12:52:28 PM
There, I made it!

Since comming onto this board I've done the following: Moved to Sheffield, gotten married, had a kid and am now watching the rugrat grow at a rate of knotts.

Online,
I've been an editor for Zetanews.com, dumped the last of my Amigas in favour of BeOS running PC's, blown up 2 complete systems in as many years. All the while comming back again and again to this place to talk about just about everything, including but not limited to: Badgers and mushrooms, war, famine and Groaners, indeed so successfull was Groaners here, I duplicated it in my posission as editor for zetanews (in as much as I ripped off the best of the groaners that came here, sorry guys).

Is there such a thing as a "best" gronaer?  Should these words even be in the same sentence? :-P

I hope that my Supermarket Incident is in your groaner's collection, mate. It is a classic, even if I say so myself.
 :-D

Sadly I'd quite zetanews before that one came out, after I'd quit I stopped adding to the list, restricting myself to helping people with various hardware/software problems, however, I did tell the joke to numerous members of my family who laughed heartily at it, often before clapping the back of my head for such a groaner ;-)

Indeed, it is compulsory to pass it on, because you don't want to be the last bunny at the end of the line who listened intently and showed great empathy only to be let down by the last sentence.

My father got me with that one, and I have been on a campaign to make myself part of a statistically larger group of 'victims' of the Supermarket Incident.
