When some nob corrupted a cd, I tried alot of software, this worked the best. I assume (because of the name) it works for DVDs as well.

cd/dvd diagnostic (http://www.infinadyne.com/cddvd_diagnostic.html)

I think I've heard people using silver or copper polish to successfully sand down optical media with scratches.

For light scratches and general dirt and grime you can't beat Mr Sheen.

"Mr Sheen shines upteen things clean" (http://www.stationerystore.co.uk/items/38613X.htm)

And a full key from serials.ws ;-)

Be warned, do not use internet explorer to look at serials.ws.  You WILL regret it.

Thanks for the replies, but i was actually looking for somewhere that could resurface the discs (dvd's that have been damaged by a faulty dvd player) thankfully after much searching i found the link i had before :-)
Just incase anyone else in the uk needs discs resurfaced you can send them to CD Hospital, check their site out here (http://www.cdhospital.co.uk/)
How i forgot that name/link i will never know lol.
