Make us an offer!
We can tear the system apart and sell it piece by piece, or we can sell it as a whole. We've been told the power supply is not functioning properly. We have an AVID and no longer need this system. Can provide more detailed info if requested.
Thanks.

Woo!
Too bad I can't afford it! :-(
-
Too bad it´s a US system. It would cost half a fortune to get it to Europe
-
I offer $100USD + shipping, for the A4000 without any of the extra expansions. Basically I need the system itself, with the CPU card and 2MB chip ram, and nothing else. I'd offer more, but it looks like it could be a non-working system as you can't confirm whether it's really only the power supply that's failed. No pictures, no information about the battery (e.g. leakage/corrosion), no info on the buster chip revision, no info on whether the SIMM slots are broken or not...$100 should be OK, I believe.
Let me know by PM if interested.

@ Effy
also, can we use Toasters in Europe? I thought they were NTSC only.

X-ray : what you refer to can be considered as minor details
-
I will give you your choice of either a piano(or organ) prelude and fugue using full proper contrapuntal technique, or a short concerto for chamber orchestra for the whole thing, featuring your choice of classical instrument for the solo and cadenza(Yes, the Theremin is a classical instrument BTW) Of course, you will also receive all publishing rights to said works, and your name will be on the dedication.
What do you say?
:-D

i'll offer $200 and you can keep the monitors
-
what is a 1384 anyway? cant find anything on it

"..what is a 1384 anyway? cant find anything on it.."
A 1384 is a 1438 (but typed quickly :-D )

He's very neat, well mannered, and generally a well organized person. A hard worker!

Now now, X56, you know that it is bad to advertise false attributes of goods
:-P

Ooops! That would actually be a 1084 monitor and a 1080. Sorry about that!
-
@X-ray:
Quiet you fool. I'm trying to hook you up!
;-)
-
May we give you any details about the boards etc?
We'd be happy to do some sort of test to see what the deal is, if that helps any.
And, see the note below. That is a 1084 monitor and a 1080. Sorry about the sloppy typing.

I got this system off of videogirls and first thing was to tear it down to see what problems there might be with it. :-? I replaced the battery, power supply fan, -5V Regulator, and polarized audio capacitors. I also trimmed the long pins on the motherboard and daughterboard. The system hard drive was full of bad sectors, so I replaced the drive with a space drive I had and installed workbench 3.1, since it had Kickstart 3.1 in it. Now I need to get a IDE CDROM drive to put in the 4000 case, so I can install AOS3.9 and the Toaster/Flyer software. I identified the Flyer card as one of the cards which was recalled for a wrong capacitor (they used a 6V instead of 16V), so I still need to get one of those to replace it with. I haven't got to use the Toaster or Flyer yet, since I don't have the floppy versions of the software and I have no cd drive in the Amiga. I must say that overall the system was very clean and well taken care of. It was listed as an A4000/040, which it was at one time, but I was delighted to see that it actually had a Cyberstorm MkIII 060/50 in it. :-o
