Hi mates!
I have a software question here.. I'd like to get a 1581 3" 1/2 floppy drive for my commodore 64 in order to copy software for the machine on my amiga and then read the floppies on the 1581 on the C64 and run the software downloaded from the internet (mainly games). I was wondering if there's a piece of software on amiga that lets me write 3 1/2 C64 format floppies readable on a C64 with a 1581 drive.
Any advise will be appreciated,
thanks!

I don't think the 1581 Formatted Disks are readable on an Amiga Drive. If I remember correctly all CBM Formatted Disks for the Pet, Vic 20,C64 and C128 were in GCR format.
Standard Floppy Drives are normally in MFM format.
Sorry I threw out all my C64 reference Materials when I moved 5 years ago so can't quote an exact reference.
I think a Catweasel card may allow you to read the 1581 Format on a standard 3.5" FDD.
Jens Schoenfeld for Individual Computers would be able to answer.
Cheers

@Dragster
The utility you're looking for is here (http://ftp.uni-paderborn.de/pub/aminet/misc/emu/Copy1581f.lha).
@thread
You only need a Catweasel in order to use PC drives to read Commodore/Amiga disks. The Amiga drive can natively handle this.
