Title: Video: An introduction to Commodore Amiga
Post by: djkoelkast on November 22, 2004, 06:35:58 AM
Hi all,

I found a real cool video, it is a demonstrational video for the Commodore Amiga and some of its applications.
Never seen this before but specially for you guys I uploaded it to my own webserver to see it, it really rocks!

Please use right mouse > save target as... in stead of looking to it streaming, the file is 20mb (to save bandwith)

http://www.ad-it.nl/amiga.wmv

Please let me know how you think about this really cool and what I think unique video :D

The video is 15 minutes in length so sit back and enjoy!

Hi djkoelkast

Sounds neat ... but would it be possible to get it as an mpeg, or some other non-Windows friendly format?

As it is now, I can only sit back - there is nothing to enjoy yet.

Thanks in advance :-)

Regards
Thomas

I will try to, I did it in wmv because it is the smallest option but indeed not Amiga proof.
Keep looking for an update, I'll try it today.

Very clever written stuff. "I am productive, I am fun - and now you be everything that I am"!! Seriously though, why do I see this now for the first time? I this promo had been shown on Dutch TV, sales would have rocketed.

well the quality of the original is not the best possible and I didn't want to make the file too big. In MPEG the file will be at least 65 megabytes (!)
Not really a problem as it is my own server at home, but I only have a 0,5mbit upload so when lot of people download it it will be really slow ;)
But even then it is 400kbps, it's just a really big movie (15 minutes). Zipping doesn't work, so I'll try to find out if realplayer or quicktime is smaller (can you guys play mov or rm files?)

ok there it is, sorry I'm so late but I was ill, so really nothing was done.

www.ad-it.nl/amiga.mpg

it is VCD mpeg1, but is is about 160mb big, so don't download all at a time because then it will be really slow ;)

Have fun with it!
