Title: Which one?
Post by: dbalaski on November 21, 2004, 03:06:20 PM
Hey all.

Since I want to wait a bit until I get some new Hardware, I am going to give a try using one of the Emulators ..
I use a couple of  PIII 700Mhz Toshiba Laptop (Tecra 8100) (one running XP and one running Fedora Core 3)

There are a few different ones I see  --
Fellow, WinUAE (and AIAB),  Amiga Forever.

Being that I have  no Amiga disks anymore (no kickstarts etc) --  I was thinking of Amiga forever 6.0 on the XP laptop.

Anyone got any feedback or advice on Amiga Forever ?
Is this a good route for me to go?

Thanks,
darryl dB

AmigaForever is a good little package based on WinUAE, It comes supplied with the official Amiga ROMS, both AmigaOS 1.3 environment and the 3.X environment.

Workbench is all setup with a Windows installation program and has a couple of Amiga Apps with it; PPaint etc.

The 1985 Commodore Amiga Launch Video and Dave Haynie's Death Bed Vigil Video is included on the CD too, which is a nice bonus.

Thanks for the feedback -- think that Amiga forever is probably the best one for me right now (awaiting getting a new system right now)...
