Title: Need help from someone living in France
Post by: McTrinsic on November 21, 2004, 09:57:11 AM
Hi all,

subject says it all.

I am not from France, don't speak french, and have an issue with an Amiga-user from France who might have framed me.

But there still is the hope that for all this there is an explanation, so I would like to first talk to that person.

But then again, I can't speak french and can't even find his telephone number due to this.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Please contact me via PM or via eMail: erasmusDOTkuhlmannATgmxDOTnet (replace DOT with "." and AT with "@" ;) ).

Thanks a lot in advance!

Have fun,
McTrinsic

Framed you?
I think you mean 'scammed' you.
What happened?

My parents live in France, I could get them to go and give the guy a roughing up ;-)
Well, more likely, I could get them to go and set their dog on him...

Hi all, thanks for the replies.

And yes, maybe "scammed" is a better word ... you may have noticed I am no native [english] speaker :) .

What happened is we agreed that I should sell him some hardware. He didn't pay, but then finally paid half of the money we agreed upon, promising to pay the rest later (in October).

I finally got tired of the excuses and transferred the money back and told him to send the hardware back. No answer.

Despite that the situation appears obvious, there are a few things why I do have reason to believe that this situation can be solved (without police and the like, that is ;) ). It would take too long to explain the details here.

We shall see how things work out.

Thanks a lot again,
McTrinsic

@Cyberus

Thanks for the offer, but I am afraid that your parent don' really know about computers and in this case this would be very helpful...

So, anyone from *France* here?

Of course, I'll refund you any phone costs.

Have fun,
McTrinsic

@All

This problem has NOT been solved yet, even if the above posts might suggest so.

So far, no one has been able or volunteered to help me, so in case you live in France or speak french fluently...

Have fun,

MAD and Voxel are French, they sometimes come here.
There is also, Minator, who lives in Paris, so I guess he is fluent in French. Perhaps also some of the Belgians on the board?

I speak French well, but not fluently, so if no-one else can help, I can try :-)

Thanks,

but voxel can't help me in this case. The others should have read this thread, so if they didn't answer on their own, i assume they don't want to help.

I will send you a PM.
