I would've suggested a group hug, but it might scare the homophobes away, or result in me being labelled a 'liberal' :-)
So for no particular reason, other than I'm in a good mood and this place is 'my favourite waste of time'
:knuddel:
Feel the love! :-)
:pint:
-
Feel the love!
My poor sock "felt the love"...
-
You just ruined my moment of soppy sentimentality
(trying saying that if you have a lithp)
-
@ Bloodline
I think this is turning into a tradition now: the wages of Cyberus posting the Scot-hunting thread is that he will forever be plagued by .... "The Sock" :-P

Well, it's only soppy for as long as it takes to dry out, ey Matt?
-
ferfcksake!
:pissed:
Joking aside, this is one of the best evenings posting I've seen in AGES. Like, literally a year or so!
:pint:
Damn, I wish I had more :pint:
:-(
edit:
Where's cecilia, whabang, speel, odin, tpg et al (shit, i've done it again, I bet I've forgotten someone) when you need them?
-
@ Cyberus
Look. We are reasonable men. I'm sure if you simply change your avatar to a sock, we'll stop 'socking it' to you
:-P
-
There is a more poignant side to this whole thing of course. As the festive season approaches, spare a thought for those less fortunate, whom Santa has abandoned and are forced fill their own stockings on Xmas Eve :-(
-
I'm not sure if I could find one crusty enough
edit: How's this! :-D
hehe, I just noticed that karlos post - synchronicity?
edit again: Dodgy quick editing of image to make it fit - and it shows, eh? I'm a linguist anyway, not an artist
(and a cunning one at that ;-))
-
Re: A round of hearty handshakes are in order
Er.. ok...
Just make sure everyone has washed their hands first OK....... :-o
-
Indeed

:roflmao:
Is it me, or is the subject of a well wanked sock more interesting than US politics?

I can see a lot of parallels, actually. They are insidious, vile and have the potential to bring about mass revulsion and embarrasment.
Drawing a parallel with the current military operations, was it used in a direct penetration or merely in the following clean up operation?

Well, I haven't been feeling very "funny" so rather than try to be funny (which never works) I thought I'd keep quiet. But I have been reading, and laughing. A lot.
:-)

Sorry, was just a bit busy lately :-)
/now, me opens the refrigirator and opens the bottle
:pint:
:pint:
:pint:
and here's your big hug from this nutcase :knuddel:
-
Good to hear it Chris!
Anyway, gentlemen, I shall bid you goodnight...
All that lazing around drinking beer and watching rugby and football highlights has taken its toll
I am sure we shall engage in some fine fooling on the morrow.
(Or technically 'today')
edit: ey! Eyso has turned up!
:knuddel:
later peeps :-)
Bah, I guess I could have one more crafty beverage...:-D
-
g'night Cyberus!
sweet dreams :-)
-

Grr, I've just run out of beer
Just stole a glass of my housemate's stale red wine

hehe, just notice how it gets busy when everyone gets in from the pub :-D
-
tsk tsk, Cyberus, "Biercrisis" isn't something to be taken lightly! ;-)
I wouldn't have a housemate to steal beer/wine from
I would have to go to the pub (yup, also about 4 o'clock in the morning pubs are still opened here :-))

well, the computer was busy processing stuff and there was this particular movie on telly, and so, you know...
-

I don't really want to disscuss it (well actually, I do but the batteries in my PDA are running low)... suffice to say, technique improved over time, and unlike the US military, I learned from my mistakes ;-)
-

My housemate is 'teetotal' - i.e. he doesn't drink at all!
He opened a bottle of wine a few days (!) ago, when he had guests. That is why this oxidised wine tastes so bad.
I would have to go to the pub (yup, also about 4 o'clock in the morning pubs are still opened here :-))
gah! you know that they close here at 11pm! :pissed:
that was like 2.5 hours ago...
Anyway, I wouldn't go to the pub on my own...
(I have just moved to a different part of England, and don't have any friends here)
-

Like knowing when to withdraw from a sticky situation?
-
I think you should have groaner's corner all to yourself Karlos!
;-)
edit:
Ah, that's why I saw someone looking shifty and holding a sock on their way to 'groaner's corner' ;-);-)
-

Oh aye!

you know.. :-)

Yeah I know..
Here, many pubs close at about ~5/6 o'clock in the morning, some others make it 'till 9 o'clock in the morning
there are also a few 24hours bars here (in Groningen city, that is)
-
Goodnight dear sirs and ladies.
-
A round of hearty handshakes are in order
Just make sure you don't accidently shake the sock :-P
BTW...glad to see at least someone is cheerful, its Sunday evening here, only a few more hours left of my weekend before another week at work, hmmmm, me thinks its beer time ;-)
-
Jeez! Sunday afternoon here. After a night of wild partying, I regret to say that I'm hung over for the first time ever. I must be getting old! :-)
-
@ whabang
was your weekend suitably wild....?
I guess 'hangover' answers that question.
Hang on, you said 'hung over for the first time ever'!!!
:-o
I don't get hangovers often - last nasty one was in Berlin two months ago - but I've certainly had more than one in my life!
-
Hang on, you said 'hung over for the first time ever'!!!
Yep! First time ever. Oddly enough, I find it amusing. :-P
-
I find if I'm hungover, I get very silly the next day.
However, if its one of those 'once in 3 years' kind of hangovers, I just want to crawl into a corner somewhere and die....
I remember walking around the streets of East Berlin feeling like death :-(
-
@whabang
Sounds as if someone had a good time :-) I hope you have recovered from your hangover, they can be quite brutal...
-
I think just once I had something approaching a hangover. My friend made me a cup of cheap, horrible coffee and he had this smelly electric heater which he insisted on aiming right at my head. And he smoked roll-ups. Holding onto the previous night's dodgy curry (which I was certain contained faeces) was a heroic feat. :-D
Interestingly, marijuana "hangover" (it's not really comparable, but it seems to last about as long) used to give me a weird warm feeling and a sense that while time was finally running linear again, I was living each moment a few seconds later. If that makes sense...
And James Stewart says "Hi!"
-
hash hangovers don't make you feel bad, just dozy and useless

Cyberus wrote:

So not much different from the high then
-
:-D
-
:-?
never had any hangover of marihuana
not that I smoke it much...
-
I always remember the day after a Whitie would be a day of total calm and crystal clarity... probably due to my brain not even trying to interpret the world around me.
-
Cyberus wrote:

Oh Jeez! My first hash hangover has lingered for the past 11 years...
(disclaimer: For the past 8 years I've been a non-smoking, gym-loving fitness freak).

That would make you about 17 now, right?
