Hello,
Since mid January, i have been without a proper Amiga setup. Since my Blizzard PPC blew and me being ripped off numerous times in the process ("Bernd Binder"), i have had nothing but bad luck in buying. Then in the summer i decided to dig into my wallet and got myself another computer, iMac, so i can do my college work on and numerous other things. But i also made a promise to myself that i would get back into the Amiga scene so i started planning on what i was going to buy for my next setup. Luckily, i still had parts leftover from the Power Tower setup i previously owned. Like the A1200 motherboard and 3.1 ROMs. But i also had stuff that i needed to get rid of: Blizzardvision, 128meg RAMs, Power Flyer, etc. I used the cash from these to create a good Amiga 1200 setup that would be mainly for games, but could do other tasks as well such as playing mp3s, emulations and other tasks. After the lot was sold, i decided i would need: A1200 desktop case, Blizzard 1260, A500 PSU, 4gig 2.5" HD, 64/128meg RAM single sided and a IDE Interface, so i could transfer the things from my old HD onto the new one. But this time, i got all my items, from members of this board and other ones (A1 Sales), so i wouldn't get ripped off again. Within a month i got what i wanted. :-D
Yesterday was an achievement for me. The moment i copied the "backup" Workbench partition on my old HD, installed the games, and played Payback, running on my Amiga 1200 once more, i knew that all the spending was worth every damn penny of it. Now i know that there will be people reading this saying "my God, why didn't you just buy an AmigaONE". Well make no mistake, the Amiga 1200 is still a kick ass machine despite its age, and it can still cut the mustard even today. You just can't beat the Amiga 1200. I am now going to download a few more things just to fine tune my Amiga 1200 setup, but tonight, once i have finished, i will be celebrating and i will be playing Alien Breed 3D once more! :pint:
Regards,
EDIT
I will also try a take a few pics of this wonderful Amiga 1200 setup. Despite the whole lot being crammed in the A1200 desktop case, it is actually pretty tidy inside.

Good on ya, cu_amiga. I also have a vow that I will resurrect my A1200 once OS4 gets released.
