today a friend of mine gave me a bunch of amiga stuff an a500 with a mega midget racer 030 with the ram card and also a derringer 030 50mhz and finally a a3000 with a rapid fire scsi card (no ram) it was connected to a internal style scsi cd but since theres no room in the case its was just wired external with a ribbon cable and the other card was a gvp a2000 hc8-II (fully populate with ram but no drives)
its a rev 7 mobo but the strange thing is first on the Denise chip theres a sticker that says "warp" and also on jumper 200 "j200" there are 2 wires soldered to pins 1 and 3 with no switch but the wires are loosely twisted together so loose that i dont know if they need to be tied together or not
and from what i have read j200 is the pal ntsc selector but pin 1 and 3 are never tied together in any scenario i read about so what to do next should i try and boot it with the wires together or not or should i remove them and jumper it for ntsc
any help is appreciated

Amiga 3000 is a piece of crap. Not fit for a skip. You want an Amiga 2000 they are the best computers in the world :-D

Does J200 look like it`s been soldered to on pin 2?
It could be that there was a 2 way switch that connected 1-2 or 2-3, and the switch and the wire to p2 has come off at some point.

well i started it with the wires tied together and it seems to work fine
and from what i can tell pin 2 never had any wire attached
and oh there is one correction i would like to make i mistyped the print on the denise sticker it actually says "wrap"

Hi VJ-AIWAZ
onestly, i've never seen jumper pins 1-3 tied toghether but if it works in this way! . .
EDIT- just read again your post . . . have you tryed to unwrap the 2 wires?
-
its funny you ask i just tried that before seeing your edited post
well any way it boots fine either way
and for the record i am using a SVGA monitor with the switch on the back of the a3000 enabled

Hmmmmm. I have an A500D/A500D+/A1200HD/A200HD/A4000HD 040 with an A3000 on the way. I will have to do some comparing of my own to rate this blatant flame on the Amiga 3000.
