Title: Just bought a CD32 from Anakirob
Post by: Vicked on November 19, 2004, 02:14:28 AM
I just received my CD32 from Anakirob, thought I would post up in the interest of supporting reputable sellers.

I negotatiated with him through PM's on the site and got a good price for the CD32 + PSU + Controller + Games.

The item is just as he described and packaged well.

Now I've finally got the CD32 I've always wanted, what are best games I should be on the lookout for?

Graphic Adventures really come to life too!

It's a pity BTTR no longer have "beneath a steel sky" available for download.

Litl' divl for cd32 rocks! The PC version sucks! I blame kbd control. A techy friend was explaining in detail that there will always be an annoying lag on PC kbd, as there are fundamental limitations in IBM's MOBO specifications.

Come to think of it, all PC games which were ported from the amiga suck (with the exeption of "slamtilt" which benifits greatly from a larger 600x800 screen).

No! You are wrong! The porting programmers SUCK, not the pc... based on my 386sx/20 experience: Turrican2 is way better than the amiga version, Pinball Fantasies had an excellent hi-res mode, Gods had better scrolling, Chaos Engine was smooth and had 256 colors... Litil Divil was OK, but it had terrible controls, and this is not the pc to blame, but the programmers... If a programmer is good, he/she can do miracles, like Turrican2, Jazz Jackrabbit.... It's been so many years...  :-)  :-)  :-)

@anakirob

What are you talking about? Bttr has the CD32 version of Beneath a steel sky avaliable for download in the Cds section..?

I love Beneath on CD32, except it´s a little sluggish when loading the speech.. It has to access the CD for every line of speech which gets a little annoying after a while...

Sorry for being so off topic, but I thought Litil Divil sucked. I admit, I only played it for about twenty minutes before thinking better of it.

I keep forgetting to email you! I'm not sure if I want to split it off from my 3000T that works, but is missing the power supply just yet...

@ Vicked

Can you also please add a post to the recommended dealers - Amiga.Org users (not trading as companies). Like the one I posted about AmiNTT and PASha.
Just so it's all in one place

I like Chaos engine.  I beat it once.  LIberation is pretty cool too.  Super Stardust is sort of difficult.  MIcrocosm almost impossible.
