I was looking for Amiga vids and found this.
I can,t believe the video links and search still work.
Type amiga in the search box in the upper left hand box.
Try seaching for commodore 64 on the Computer Chronicles page for more fun.
:)Computer Chronicles (http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.archive.org/images/stewart.gif&imgrefurl=http://www.archive.org/movies/collection.php%3Fcollection%3Dcomputerchronicles&h=229&w=180&sz=33&tbnid=tjNatRs2dpAJ:&tbnh=101&tbnw=80&start=9&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dcompute)
This is from The Internet Archives Way Back Machine.
Chronicles still has a web site, but is under construction, with broken links. Hope this brings back some pleasant memories.

Very good!
I am downloading a few videos that I have interest in. mainly the Amiga doing video work, which i have never witnessed myself. :-)

Wow that was great stuff.
I smiled, I laughed (at those hair dues), I giggled, I thought of munching on grandma's cookies whilst I played Shadow of the Beast one Christmas morning, and finally, I cried at the end because they started talking about MS-DOS in the "random bytes" news part.

I know what you mean. I miss MS-DOS almost as much as Amiga OS and GEM.

I ordered one of those free toaster flyer demo VHS tapes way back errrr...... Maybe 1992 and that chess scene was on it :-D
-
I still have that tape! "Revolution" (or maybe I've got it confused with the Toaster 2000 tape!)
I loved that tape and the Tosater 4000 and Flyer tapes. I remember at Omni International in Seattle Kiki Stockhammer and crew demoed the Toaster 4000, and they ran the video for "Facist Christ" which had way better animation than the Todd Rundgren video that's actually on the 4000 tape. But NewTek said they didn't want to offend potential Toaster buyers by having the F.C. video on the demo tape.
-
I too had ordered the toaster tape. I have never seen the Facist Christ video. Do you have a link to that?
-
Ahh, great find! Thanks.
I had already downloaded the A3000 one, but never came back for the other vids.

Hmmm.... I'm watching Amgia-Vs-Atari episode... they really bias towards the Atari... even though the ST performs horribly :-(

Since Comcast/G4 has screwed up Tech TV so much, maybe it's time to petition PBS to bring back a show like "Computer Chronicles"

no kidding!
i used to enjoy watching!
there were some episodes of Nerd Nation that were just great!
I'd love to do a show about computers!

@ cecilia
You can if you live in the states. Just contact your local public access station in most states and you can use there equipment to do just about any non profit show you want for free.

I didn't see many episodes of nerd nation, but I did like it. I like to see off the wall geeky stuff people do. I've always wanted to make a RV in the shape of a shuttlecraft, myself. :-) "Monster Nation" does some of that, but it's kinda superficial for my taste.
PBS might be open to a computer show. Here in Michigan, they took over the 'outdoorsman' shows after the commercial stations dropped them. You don't normally expect hunting on PBS, but there ya go...

No I don't! I'd like to see it again too! Last I saw it was at the demo.
I seem to recall that one of the 3D models from that video was used in an episode of Babylon 5.
