For the last couple of days i've been unable to access ebay or any of the mirrors. Is it just me?
-
It works for me. Have you tried a traceroute?
-
What's a traceroute?
Okay, things are serious now. My girlfriend just reported thata a few sites she uses are doing the same thing. After clicking on the link, i can't get past the "looking up" phase.
I've tried loading old prefs back in, but the same thing happens.

Yup, it's time to get Spybot and download Firefox
-

Gentlemen, you befuddle my brain with talk of strange programs which do not exist (at least on aminet) Why should i need them anyway, everything was working fine. I must have tweaked a pref somewhere, maybe in Genesis as the same symptoms occur in Ibrowse and Aweb.
-
eh, eh , eh :-)
yes sometimes the suggestions here, are a little bit "redoundant".
Try to delete ALL the Cookies and/diskcache, although should be an ISP related problem.
Bye
-
Sorry
I did not realize that you were running on an Amiga.
Disreguard my previous post.
-
I never save cache or cookies. If it is an ISP problem , will it just "go away" eventually?

:-D
You might want to buy a PC too

You need to accept cookies for some sites (especially ebay) so they will be saved on your hd somewhere. Unless you've got a setting that clears cookies and history before or after every session.
I'd check them anyway just to make sure :-)

Oh thank the lord. I had the brainwave of switching off my router for 10 mins and it worked! Aahh, sweet, sweet shopping!
No i deliberately don't save cache and cookies as my machine tends to be rather crash happy, and corrupted cache / cookies are a BAD thing.
