Title: 24-Bit and megapixel scale graphics editing on classic chipset?
Post by: Hyperspeed on November 18, 2004, 02:58:05 AM
Are there any paint programs out there that can load in 24-bit,
multi-megapixel images onto an OCS/ECS/AGA system and edit them within
the limits of ChipRAM?

I've heard of such a program but don't know how it would cope with a 5
megapixel image in 24-bit on say an A1200.

Does TV-Paint allow for this or XiPaint?

Try ImageFX, it has full 24bit loading and
editing. It also has built in virtual
memory for loading large pictures, it
doesn't always work perfect and you need
a fair amount of fast ram but it will
edit large images even on older machines.
