helllllo,
I took my A500+ out of storage and I noticed that the connector on the power supply for the A590 has been broken off. Now I want to solder it back on and I found the 4pin layout but I am not that technical. Can anyone simply tell me which color I solder to what pin on the connector??
It would be very appreciated....

If you are talking about the power connector on the A590 board, it should be clearly silk-screaned on the PCB next to the connector. If not then the yellow wire goes onto the pin nearest the top edge of the PCB. The black wire goes onto the pin below that and the red wire connects to the 4th pin.

Hope this helps you. :-)

I am talking about the connector that goes INTO the hard drive unit. If I remember well, it has a yellow, red, black and black/white cable.....
THANKS for the fast reply already!

in fact, I have a RED, a YELLOW, a GREY and a blackcable connected to a white one.
when looking UPON the pins in the connector (that goes into the hard drive), which one do I solder where please?

OK, I got a red power light on the hard disk with nothing else blinking.
How do I get the A500+ to recognise it and start from it?
